... if they ported it, and made special... tweaks... perhaps we could finally achieve the Triforce? I mean, instead of the damned ending we got before, maybe we could go beyond and find the Triforce that time. Do you realise how many people would freak and buy it?

Think.

The original game sold... what? 7.6 million copies. All 7.6 million people that bought that game were seriously *navi*ed off about the fact that the Triforce could not be found. Complaints were issued. Many asked the Shigster himself. Some compiled glitches that could lead to it. There was even a successful GameShark code that allowed you to find it. But, no in-game Triforce. If the Triforce was actually put in... sales would be off the chart. Shigeru Miyamoto would crap his pants.

This would be what is called super special awesome. I had actually never thought of Nintendo releasing OoT on DS. Now that youve planted this thought in my head, it NEEDS to happen.

I'd rather play Sheik's sidequests than rehash the whole game again, actually. XD

Meh, I've already got it on the VC, as well as a by-now-defunct one on the N64, so I wouldn't buy it, but it's an interesting notion, something I also thought of.

However, without the analog control, it wouldn't really feel the same, especially the first-person parts (bow, hookshot etc.). It worked in Metroid Prime: Hunters, but only because that game focused solely on that aspect, it wouldn't really work as a mix of the two, as opposed to console games with analog controls. Then again, it could technically work, but would be really stiff, and not really enjoyable. It'd also be missing two C-items, due to the limited buttons (unless navi and FP view would move onto the select button, but then how would we control the mini-map? *sigh*)

But yeah, it's an interesting aspect, and I might consider it if they added some decent extra material, but it's nothing I'd jump of joy over. But to put it bluntly, I'd rather they'd focus on making new games, instead of wasting possible development time on a re-make.</blockquote>

Have you played Phantom Hourglass?</blockquote>

Well, Phantom Hourglass felt much more like a 2-d game with 3-d graphics and much more directions than teh usual 8. Oh, and some height. However, as I said, the first-person aspect of OoT wouldn't really carry over that well, and Phantom Hourglass decided to completely leave that out, just using the bow etc. from an above perspective.

To be honest I dont really care if Ocarina of Time appears on the DS, I have two copies on N64, the two that were released on Gamecube + Master Quest and the VC version on my Wii. I dont particularly desire it for the DS and I would rather play a new game, that said I would still buy it if they made it, lol.

I smell pitchforks being sharpened and torches being lit. Is that an angry mob I spy? lol. OoT would be an awesome game to port. A multiplayer game should be kinda like Four Sword, only in 3-D. That'd be cool.
